During this interactive program, students will use the Constitution, constitutional amendments, and legislation to explore the progression of voting rights in the United States and its impact on representative government. Additional primary source documents from the National Archives, including photographs and political cartoons, will enhance student understanding of the ways in which contemporary events and public civic engagement influence their lives today.

Register your students for a webinar presentation of Voting Rights, the Constitution, and Representative Government with the National Archives! 

After registering, an educator from the National Archives will contact you via email the week of the event to share the Zoom connection information. Participants’ cameras and microphones will be off and participant comments will be shared only with presenters to ensure a student-friendly environment. Registration will close on Wednesday, September 9, 2026.
